Scholarships for middle and high school students

  • Anthem ScholarshipInspired by Ayn Rand’s novel Anthem, this scholarship is open to students in grades eight through 12 worldwide, including international and homeschooled students. This non-fixed scholarship requires reading the novel and writing an essay about it. Cash prizes are awarded, and applicants can use the money as they wish. Awards: Up to $2,000; Deadline: April 30
  • FMC Skaters ScholarshipHigh school seniors from New England who participate in ice skating, figure skating, or recreational skating at an FMC arena are eligible for this award. Applicants must write a 500-word essay on how skating has had an impact on their lives. Award: Amount not disclosed; Deadline: May 1 (must be postmarked by April 28)
  • UMPS Care Charities All-Star College Scholarship: This is a great opportunity for incoming first-year college students (ages 21 or younger) who were adopted at age 13 or older, are interested in baseball, and plan to attend college in the fall. Applicants must answer four short essay questions and demonstrate financial need. In addition to the monetary award, the winner will be mentored throughout their college journey by an MLB umpire. The recipient must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA throughout college to renew the scholarship. Award: $5,000 per semester, renewable for up to four years; Deadline: May 1
  • Cameron Impact ScholarshipThe Cameron Impact Scholarship is a merit-based program for high-achieving high school seniors dedicated to positive social change. Multiple awards are given annually to students demonstrating excellence in leadership, community service, and academics. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, maintain a minimum 3.7 unweighted GPA, and show a proven commitment to extracurricular activities and civic-mindedness throughout their education. Award: Full tuition, fees, and books for four years; Deadline: May 1 (or until 3,000 eligible applications are received)
  • CBSMF Scholarship: Sponsored by the Charles B. Staats Memorial Foundation, this scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors who are also swim coaches. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, at least two years of coaching experience, and proof of acceptance to a four-year college. Award: $3,500; Deadline: May 27

Scholarships for high school and undergraduate students

  • Agota M. Bardos Award: This scholarship is open to high school seniors and first-year college students who are first- or second-generation immigrants residing in the United States with a commitment to their community and visual arts or music. Four awards will be given to students based on a variety of academic and personal factors. Awards: $1,000; Deadline: May 1
  • DutchCrafters Amish Furniture Heritage ScholarshipThis sponsor offers three scholarships to recognize outstanding undergraduates who “draw upon their cultural heritage to shape their vocational aspirations, add creative value to their future employers, and serve their communities.” Applicants must be US citizens or legal residents enrolled or accepted as full-time students at accredited four-year institutions in the US. A minimum 3.0 GPA, FAFSA application, and 750-word essay are also required. Award: $500; Deadline: May 1
  • California Restaurant Foundation ScholarshipEach year, the CRF awards dozens of scholarships to high school seniors and undergraduate students who are pursuing higher education in the restaurant, food service, and hospitality industries. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents as well as California residents, although students may use the scholarships at out-of-state schools. A certain number of industry-related work experience hours (either paid or voluntary) depending on grade level are also required. Awards: Up to $4,000; Deadline: May 1
  • Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and CreativityOffered to high school juniors and seniors as well as first-year college students, this scholarship is awarded to those who have solved an artistic, scientific, or technical problem in a new or unusual way or have found a solution to a problem faced by their school, community, or family. This four-year renewable scholarship is awarded to five to eight students from New York or Connecticut who are attending college anywhere in the country, plus students from anywhere in the country who are attending college in New York or Connecticut. Awards: Up to $20,000; Deadline: May 15
  • The Trotter Project ScholarshipsOffering three different scholarships, the Trotter Project is looking for high school seniors and current college students who are pursuing Food Science Agriculture, Culinary Arts or Baking/Pastry, and Hospitality Management programs with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants can submit an optional video response on how they pursue excellence and what their long-term goals are in the culinary industry. Past recipients are eligible to reapply for consideration. Awards: Up to $10,000; Deadline: May 15
  • CIP Scholarship: Students ages 17 and older who are planning to start college within the next 12 months as well as current college students (both full- and part-time, on-campus or online programs) may apply for this scholarship sponsored by College Is Power. Just fill out the application and explain your primary goal for attending college in 150 words or fewer Award: $1,000; Deadline: May 31
  • New York Ramblers Scholarship: The Ramblers Scholarship supports student athletes across all sports who identify as members or allies of the LGBTQ+ community. Multiple awards are given to individuals demonstrating financial need, leadership in athletics, and commitment to advocacy. Applicants must be between ages 15 and 35, planning to attend or currently enrolled in a recognized undergraduate or graduate program in the United States. Awards: $2,500; Deadline: May 31

Scholarships for undergraduate students

  • Renaissance Scholars ProgramThis program awards high-achieving, low-income students who will be the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a current first-year or sophomore college student at a four-year school in Oregon or Illinois; a community college student planning to transfer in those states; or a current first-year or sophomore at one of three partner HBCUs (or planning to transfer to one). US citizenship is not required. Award: Up to $5,000 per academic year; Deadline: May 1 (and March 1)
  • War Veterans ScholarshipThis merit-based scholarship is open to active duty or honorably discharged US military veterans who deployed abroad previously and are enrolled in full- or part-time undergraduate STEM programs as sophomores or juniors at four-year US colleges and universities. Distance learning and online programs are also eligible. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submit two letters of recommendation from field-of-study professors. Awards: $2,500; Deadline: May 1
  • NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship: College athletes who excel academically, are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics, and plan to pursue grad school are eligible for one of these scholarships. It's awarded three times a year, corresponding with each sport season, with 21 awards for men and 21 awards for women available to put toward an accredited graduate program. Fall deadline sports include men's cross-country, football, soccer, and water polo as well as women's cross-country, equestrian, field hockey, rugby, soccer, triathlon, and volleyball. Award: Up to $10,000; Deadline: May 4 (January 5 and March 9)
  • John Kitt Memorial Scholarship: This is a great opportunity for college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are majoring in Food Science, Chemical Science, Biological Science, or related fields and have a demonstrated interest in confectionery technology (including but not limited to activities such as research projects, work experience, and formal study). To be eligible, applicants must attend an accredited four-year college or university in North America and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Award: $2,500; Deadline: May 31
  • Foundation for IT Education Scholarships: Current undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, and related fields with a minimum 3.0 GPA should apply for these awards. Requirements vary for each scholarship program but mostly require applicants to be enrolled full-time, have completed one full semester of college, and be a US citizen or permanent resident. Awards: Amounts not disclosed; Deadline: May 31

Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students

  • Colonel Kathleen Swacina Scholarship: This fund awards one female student who is a member of the US armed forces, is enrolled in an ROTC program, has been honorably discharged, or is a direct descendant of an honorably discharged veteran or AFCEA member. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents residing in or attending accredited institutions (including community colleges, undergraduate programs, and grad schools) in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, or Alabama. Undergrads must be at the sophomore or junior level. Graduate students must have completed a minimum of two courses. Full-time enrollment in a STEM program is required. Award: $2,000 Deadline: May 1
  • Earl Warren ScholarshipSponsored by the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund and named for the 14th Chief Justice of the United States, this scholarship recognizes rising law students with a commitment to racial justice. Applicants must be US citizens and either a college graduate, an undergraduate enrolled in their final year, or a first-year law student. Copies of LSAT or GRE scores are required along with other materials, but there are no minimum test score or GPA requirements. Awards: $15,000 per year for three years; Deadline: May 1
  • International Essential Tremor Foundation Scholarship: This scholarship is open to high school and GED graduates of any age who have been diagnosed with essential tremor, possess community service and/or leadership skills, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and are attending a licensed, accredited higher education institution. An essay of up to 500 words is required, and applicants may reapply with a new essay if they have previously won. Up to ten awards will be distributed. Awards: $7,500; Deadline: May 1
  • Leon Bradley Scholarship Program: Sponsored by the American Association of School Personnel Administrators, this program offers minority students pursuing degrees in Teaching or Educational Leadership a chance to win money for school. Applicants must be completing their final year of certification or endorsement requirements, including student teaching. Two scholarships are available. Awards: $3,500; Deadline: May 15
  • AIAS Foundation ScholarshipSponsored by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Foundation, this award is for full-time undergraduate and graduate students or early professionals pursuing a career in any aspect of game development, including art, engineering, law, and more. Applicants must be 21 or older, have a minimum 3.3 GPA, and include a personal statement. Any major is eligible, and applicants do not need to be US citizens or permanent residents to apply. Award: $2,000; Deadline: May 31
  • Girls for Gaming Scholarship: The Girls for Gaming Scholarship honors individuals dedicated to empowering girls and young women within the gaming industry. It supports aspiring student game makers in undergraduate or graduate programs and early professionals in their first four years. Applicants should pursue the business of interactive entertainment, including marketing, law, and product management, to help normalize gender diversity in gaming. Must be 21 or older, have a minimum 3.3 GPA, and include a personal statement. Award: $2,000; Deadline: May 31
  • WomenIn Scholarship: Sponsored by the AIAS Foundation and Intel, this award is open to any student identifying as a woman who is also a full-time undergraduate, graduate student, or young professional pursuing a career in game development, including art, animation, programming, and engineering. Applicants must have a minimum 3.3 GPA and be 21 years or older. Award: $2,000; Deadline: May 31
  • SBB Research Group STEM ScholarshipThe SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship supports full-time students at United States colleges who are pursuing degrees in STEM fields. Multiple awards are given throughout the year to applicants who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to using STEM principles to improve the world. Major qualifications include maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Awards: $2,500; Deadline: May 31
  • NAAMLP Scholarship: Sponsored by the National Association of Abandoned Mine Land Programs, this scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who intend to work as scientists, engineers, or technicians in the fields of mine reclamation, environmental sciences, or remediation. Awards are generally given to three undergraduates and one graduate student. Awards: $3,500; Deadline: May 31
  • Horticulture Research Institute Scholarships: The Horticulture Research Institute offers numerous scholarship opportunities for students in undergraduate or graduate Landscape or Horticulture programs. Application requirements vary by award but include state residency, GPA minimum, and area of study within the industry. Applicants must submit a statement of financial need, a personal essay, a résumé, transcripts, and two letters of recommendation. Awards: Amounts vary; Deadline: May 31
  • 1st Financial Bank Financial Goals ScholarshipThis monthly scholarship is open to US residents who are 18 or older and planning to enroll (or are currently enrolled) in a college degree program.   • Ascent Funding Grad School Goals Scholarship Giveaway: The Grad School Goals Scholarship Giveaway is a no-essay program designed to support students pursuing advanced degrees, including master's, doctorates, or professional programs. This scholarship assists with rising education costs such as tuition and books. Applicants must be legal U.S. residents aged 14 or older and enrolled at least half-time in a degree program or technical skills training. Award: $2,500; Deadline: April 30
  • Byron Hanke Fellowship: Master’s, doctoral, and law students seeking to implement projects related to the development, management, and governance of common interest communities and community associations should consider applying for this award. Sponsored by the Foundation for Community Association Research (FCAR), this opportunity is a research grant with a limited range of topics for the recipient’s study. Awards: Up to $5,000 over one year; Deadline: May 1
  • WOCN Foundation Scholarship Program: This scholarship is available for nurses seeking a master's, doctorate degree, or Nurse Practitioner certificate.   • Ascent Funding $1,000 Plan, Pay and Succeed Scholarship Giveaway: The Plan, Pay and Succeed Scholarship is a monthly giveaway designed to help students and parents manage the costs of higher education without requiring an essay. Multiple awards are given throughout the year via random drawings. Eligible applicants include legal U.S. residents aged 14 or older who are enrolled at least half-time in high school, degree programs, or technical skills training. Award: $1,000; Deadline: April 30
  • Ashoori Law Good Deeds Scholarship: This scholarship is open to admitted high school seniors as well as enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated an act of kindness for another person or have an ongoing history of doing good for others. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and submit an essay explaining their acts of kindness. Award: $1,000; Deadline: May 1
  • Faith Hope and Love Jesus Inc. Scholarship: Students who are childhood cancer and blood disorder survivors can write an essay on any topic for a chance to win one of two scholarships. High school students accepted to US institutions as well as current undergraduates and graduate students are eligible but must be US citizens. Awards: $550; Deadline: May 1
  • Walter J. Travis Memorial ScholarshipsThe Walter J. Travis Society offers five awards to high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students pursuing careers in landscape design/golf course architecture, golf course turf grass management/golf course superintendent, professional golf management, club professional, or sports journalism with a special interest in golf. Outstanding amateur golfers will also be given serious consideration based on their competitive records. Awards: $1,000; Deadline: May 15
  • Young Ambassador Scholarship in Memory of Christopher Nordquist: This scholarship is open to students residing in New York City, Long Island, and Lower Hudson Valley counties of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, and Orange. Applicants must be under 25 years old and enrolled in a two- or four-year college, university, trade school, or technical school for the current year. An essay describing an educational or public service initiative in which the student participated that promoted eye, organ, and tissue donation is required. Award: $3,000; Deadline: May 15
  • The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration STEM Scholarship: This is another opportunity for students who reside in New York City, Long Island, and the lower Hudson Valley. Applicants must be accepted to or enrolled in a STEM undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the current academic year.   • Innovation in Education ScholarshipSponsored by LA Tutors, this monthly scholarship is open to high school, college, and graduate students who write an essay on an innovative project they’ve designed that makes a difference in the lives of others. Applicants must be US or Canadian citizens and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Award: $500; Deadline: May 20 (same date every month)
  • Make the World Better Scholarship: Sponsored by the Atlanta law firm Butler Kahn, this award is for students who want to do good in the world. Applicants must film a video no longer than 10 minutes explaining how they want to make the world a better place. Students must also be in good academic standing with at least a 2.0 GPA and currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program anywhere in the world (community college students, high school seniors, and students who possess a GED are also eligible). Award: Up to $1,000; Deadline: May 22
  • #LiveLikeLyly Memorial ScholarshipThis scholarship is open to Asian American high school students as well as students enrolled in full-time vocational, technical, two-year, four-year, or graduate degree programs in Fashion or Graphic Design. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate leadership abilities through community service, extracurriculars, or other activities. Award: $1,000; Deadline: May 31
  • MyMozaic Scholarship: This monthly scholarship sweepstakes is open to US citizens who are 13 years and older.   • $2,000 Sally Mae Scholarship Sweepstakes: Sallie Mae offers an easy scholarship contest that both students and parents can enter each month. It’s open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or any US territory who are age 17 or older at the time of entry. Award: $2,000; Deadline: May 31 (last day of every month)
  • There’s Space for Everyone ScholarshipSponsored by Extra Space Storage, this scholarship asks applicants to write their commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, or social justice. Graduating high school seniors enrolling in college in the fall and current undergraduate and graduate students may apply. Eight scholarships are available, including three awarded to Extra Space Storage employees or their immediate family members. Awards: $3,000; Deadline: May 31
  • GlobalScholarships.com Scholarship for International Students: This new opportunity is open to any eligible prospective or current international student studying in a country they are not a citizen or permanent resident of this fall. Applicants may be pursuing any postsecondary degree program, including an associate degree, bachelor’s, master’s, PhD, or professional program like law and medicine. A 500–700-word essay is required, and three winners will be chosen. Awards: $3,000; Deadline: May 31
  • Association on American Indian Affairs Scholarships: In partnership with the American Indian College Fund, multiple scholarship programs are offered to Native American and Alaskan Native students in full-time associate, bachelor’s, and graduate programs as well as graduating high school seniors pursuing certificate or undergraduate programs at Tribal Colleges and Universities or accredited nonprofit schools in the US. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be directly recognized as a citizen member of their Tribe, which may be federally or non-federally recognized. Accepted applicants will receive free annual membership to the Association as well as ​opportunities for internships, fellowships, and other learning opportunities. Awards: $1,000 provided to students twice per year until they graduate; Deadline: May 31
  • Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship: Asian American and Pacific Islander high school seniors and undergraduate or graduate students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate leadership abilities, and are pursuing entrepreneurship should apply for this award. All majors are eligible, but applicants must be at least 25% Asian or Pacific Islander as well as US citizens or legal permanent residents. Awards: Up to $5,000; Deadline: May 31
